<h2>Install Todoist using Snap</h2>
<ol>
<li>If you don't already have Snap installed on your Linux device, install it now by following the instructions for your Linux distribution. <a href="https://snapcraft.io/docs/installing-snapd" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Here's how</a>.</li>
<li>Open a terminal.</li>
<li>Install the Todoist app by running <code>sudo snap install todoist</code>.</li>
<li>It is recommended that you inhibit refreshes of snaps while they are running, as this could be disruptive to the operation of the Todoist app. You can do this by running <code>sudo snap set core experimental.refresh-app-awareness=true</code>.</li>
<li>Open the Todoist app the same way you would normally open any other application.</li>
</ol>
<h2>Install Todoist using AppImage</h2>

<ol>
<li>Open the AppImageLauncher's <a href="https://github.com/TheAssassin/AppImageLauncher/releases/latest">latest release page</a>.</li>
<li>Download the Lite edition of AppImageLauncher for your system's architecture (either x86_64 or i386). The file's name should begin with <em>appimagelauncher-lite</em>.</li>
<li>Open a terminal.</li>
<li>Make the AppImageLauncher Lite file executable by running<span></span> <code class="notranslate">chmod +x ~/Downloads/appimagelauncher-lite-*.AppImage</code>.</li>
<li>Install AppImageLauncher Lite by running <code>~/Downloads/appimagelauncher-lite-*.AppImage install</code>.</li>
<li>Download <a href="https://todoist.com/linux_app/appimage">the latest Todoist AppImage</a>.</li>
<li>Move it to the <em>~/Applications</em> directory.</li>
<li>Open the Todoist app the same way you would normally open any other application.</li>

<h2>Update Todoist to the latest version using AppImage</h2>

<li>Download<a href="https://todoist.com/linux_app/appimage" target="_self"> the latest Todoist AppImage</a>.</li>
<li>Move it to the <em>~/Applications</em> directory and replace the old Todoist AppImage.</li>
<li>Open the Todoist app the same way you would normally open any other application.</li>
